JOB SUMMARY
Sr. Account Manager plays a vital role in growing sales and increasing company profits primarily by recruiting new customers through lead generation, and by supporting new business prospecting with existing customers. This is accomplished by executing the company’s strategic initiatives in marketing, prospecting target aerospace accounts and effectively communicating the company’s value proposition through cold calling, email campaigns and social media. This position requires good knowledge across various facilities and aerospace end customers in order to maintain collaborative relationships with our key customers, and internal stakeholders ensuring that our business is profitable, and helping our operations run efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct business in alignment with our core values:

Serve as the primary day-to-day sales contact for our aerospace, space and defense customers.
Grow assigned Top Customers and Prospects by developing good relationships to gaining an understanding of their specific business value drivers and pain points.
Gain sufficient technical knowledge of our manufacturing / process capabilities to be able to determine the degree of fit between prospects and the company.
Work with Director of Sales to develop and execute a sales &
marketing SMM strategy focusing on inbound lead gen, perceptual mapping, market mapping, and most importantly selling value, not just price.
Work with Engineering and Estimation teams at each facility to prepare, record, track, and follow up on quotes in CRM following each stage of the company’s sales process, including entering and keeping all customer feedback information in the CRM database accurate and current.
Participate in contract review of orders to ensure quoted terms are correctly reflected in customer purchase order
Reviews and ensure customer acknowledgements for delivery dates (stock or production) are sent timely.
Reviews scheduled start dates for jobs and analyzes work orders or reports to ensure on-time delivery for customer.
Establishes priorities for specific customer orders and recommends schedule changes to accomplish customer requirements.
Reviews changes in customer delivery schedule to ensure that approved changes have been made and notifies appropriate personnel if any adjustments are required to be made in the production schedule.
Reviews master production schedule and work orders.
Follow 80/20 to ensure time is spent on growing top customers and good fit products at each facility.
· Assist Director of BD with developing the annual sales budget and new business pipeline for A&
D customers.
Provides customers with weekly delivery updates, making sure to notify a customer of any delay in meeting shipment date.
Coordinates the workflow within or between facilities to expedite production and keeps customers informed of any issues that may affect their on-time delivery.
Notifies appropriate personnel of any major production problems or concerns.
Uses the Prince ERP system to track and update the progress of orders in the system.
Presents a positive impression of the company through timely responses and problem solving/decision making skills to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Additional responsibilities as required by supervisor.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES
Intermediate to advanced user skillset in Excel.
Prior experience using ERP and CRM systems preferred.
Good interpersonal communication skills, able to interact, persuade, and negotiate with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience selling into the aerospace and defense industries strongly preferred.
5+ years of relevant customer facing experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Regularly required to sit the duration of the workday, 8-9 hours.
Site visits and Customer visits may frequently require to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, reach or bend.
Frequently required to perform repetitive hand movements when doing computer work.
