Job Description
New England Donor Services is seeking an experiencedICU RN, Critical Care RN, Trauma Nurseto join our team. As aDonation Coordinatoryou will respond on-site to organ donor referrals to provide clinical expertise in donor evaluation, donor management, organ allocation and organ recovery.
You will blend high level clinical and people skills to educate hospital staff on the donation process, work with donor families to obtain consent for donation and work with multiple surgical teams and critical care staff to optimize organsfor transplantation. Success in this role requires a self-assured professional who has keen clinical assessment skills, the ability to be flexible and remain calm and effective in highly charged and clinically complex situations.

Orientation:
After a general company wide week long onsite (Waltham, MA) orientation, you will participate in a specialized organ donationtraining program. The New HireDonation Academy is 3 days/week for first 3 weeks in Waltham office (generally Tuesday through Thursday on a day shift) and additional training in Waltham office throughout orientation program. Once the classroom training is completed, new hires will participate in amix of 16-hour day and 12-hour night on-call shifts. Average 14 shifts per 4-week schedule + trainings + meetings. Significant travel with personal vehicle throughout all of New England is expected. Mileage and other reimbursements available.
Independent:
