Description:
This position will serve a representative within the Oracle CoE to drive the technical design of integrations with Oracle EBS and various SaaS providers. The candidate will work directly with project teams and vendors to ensure the approach of any integrations and customizations with Oracle EBS meet our standards. Candidate must be a strong communicator and be able to drive IT architectural design decisions. In addition, this is a hands on role to develop reusable REST API's and deploy via the Oracle Integrated SOA Gateway.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Works with stakeholders to perform application functionality gap analysis and feasibility studies.
- Leads development activities for a functional area, module, or project. Provides and documents technical design and specifications meeting business and functional requirements.
- Develops (code), implements, and maintains tools/applications. Ensures applications and systems possess sufficient controls.
- Performs unit testing prior to moving code/configuration to the QA process. Evaluates and researches upgrades, patches, and new functionality. Research defects and solve for root cause in applications.
- Assists in the development and definition of test plans and scripts for performance, regression, and user acceptance test plans;
support QA activities as required.
- Analyzes applications for compliance with security protocols.
- Trains team members on areas of expertise. Participate in and lead peer reviews.
Nature and Scope
- Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.
- Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the expected results. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.
- May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc.
Required:
- Extensive experience (5+ years) integrating Oracle EBS with modern enterprise patterns (REST API's exposed as REST services via the Integrated SOA Gateway - ISG)
- Oracle EBS 12.2.9 experience and above
- Core Proficiency in system and SQL performance tuning
- Oracle EBS Module Experience:
Order Management, Advanced Pricing, AME, Procurement, Inventory
- Performed 1+ Oracle EBS Upgrades
- Experience extending/enhancing Oracle EBS
- Experience with architecting reusable component libraries for use across the organization
- Working knowledge of Oracle module data structures and API's
- Expert in Oracle development tools:
PL/SQL, Forms Developer, Oracle Work Flow Builder, BI Publisher, and JDeveloper
- Working knowledge of Oracle Integration platforms – Oracle Integration Cloud, Integration SOA Gateway, API Management platforms (Oracle API Gateway)
Preferred:
- Oracle EBS patching, upgrades, and release management
- Oracle EBS patch and module analyzers
- Experience with OEM and EBS performance tuning
- Additional Oracle EBS Module Experience:
General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management
