Job Description
As an Anaerobic Digestion Operations Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring operational readiness of ES Services NAM Operations &
Maintenance projects, with a specialized focus in Anaerobic Digestion technology &
systems.
Operational readiness can be summarized as:
The content creation &
development of operational documentation. Including, but not limited to, standard operating procedures (SOP’s), maintenance plans, analytical testing plans, daily operations rounds, etc.You will make sure that our field teams are prepared with the necessary and adequate site documentation to perform the operational tasks at hand, of which you will help to develop, and work with other documentation development specialists, if needed.
The knowledge-transfer and training of our site Operations &
Maintenance team members. From process knowledge and best practices, to process upset management and troubleshooting techniques.
The implementation and usage of developed supporting documentation &
plans into daily practice for the Operations &
Maintenance teams. Including the usage of CMMS tool(s), process analytics &
trending, consumables &
inventory management, internal and external reporting.
Support on projects outside of the Anaerobic Digestion space will also be required, but will depend on the current portfolio of projects. You will partner with regional O&
M teams to act as a bridge between ‘project delivery’ and steady-state operations of new contracts within our business. Additionally, to provide support to already existing Veolia operations as needed.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Create alignment and clear expectations with internal stakeholders on a tangible list of deliverables. Scheduling activities related to content development &
knowledge sharing - such as site visits, content creation, reviews, and training - into an overall plan for in-execution projects.
Identifying the operational documentation and supplemental tools &
information needs. Executing the content development while managing involved team members that are supporting this effort – ensuring that the needed deliverables are completed on time and of sufficient quality.
Putting an emphasis on active &
clear communication forfollowing through with planned activities, or finding creative ways to complete tasks when presented with challenges.
Ensuring that any other subject matter experts are effectively aligned to support the site-team development of maintenance plans, SOPs and other documentation needs, while also building out a library of templates for the team to draw on over time.
Ability to travel to be present at a project site as needed. A multitude of reasons could justify site presence, but for example could include - verifying as-built information, running operational sequences, capturing images for content development, training of site team members, etc.Travel rate varies based on project needs, but could range from 20% - 50%
Cultivation of project management acumen &
approach for achieving the overall goal. Schedule, resource, deliverable, and communication management.
Motivation &
support of team members- providing performance feedback &
guidance
Providing leadership in continuously improving the new operations contract start-up process, identifying current gaps and partnering with peers &
regional team members to implement solutions. Examples could include:
Helping develop staffing plans consistent with contractual, operational, and safety considerations.
Assisting with interviewing candidates for operating labor.
Identifying any job or site specific training beyond the baseline training standards of the company.
Assisting with the training of operations staff on site specific items.
