Job Description
The NCLEX Success Specialist (NSS) will Provides support to nursing students throughout and after the nursing program in preparation for taking the NCLEX exam following graduation.
In collaboration with the Corporate Director of Licensure, Senior NSS, and the school-in-a-box Director of Nursing Academic Services, the NCLEX Success Specialists lead the NCLEX Success team by working with NCLEX Success faculty Coaches, faculty, and students struggling with weekly examinations, CMS, Comp Predictor, NCLEX style testing, and remediation.
Assists site staff and online didactic faculty with coordinating and enforcing policies and procedures related to ATI CMS exams and NCLEX Success.
ATI Champion Certified within 60 days of hire date.
Shares ATI Champion role with the site-based Director of Nursing Academic Services
Responsible for the ATI orientation of new online didactic faculty members including completion of assigned workshops
In collaboration with the campus Nursing Administration assists on-boarding by ensuring new faculty completes all training related to integration of ATI products.
In collaboration with the Corporate Licensure team, Sr. NSS, Director of Nursing Academic Services, and faculty, the NSS will track and document student meetings and outreach of identified students from beginning to end of the program.
Attends and leads weekly At-Risk meetings to identify at-risk students and assists with exam preparation.
Participates in committees as needed.
Real-time monitoring and analysis of PowerBI Performance Dashboard and collaboration with faculty and campus leadership to develop follow-up plans for the following exam data:
ATI CMS, Comprehensive Predictor benchmarks, Capstone exams, Practice Assessments, and other exams as deemed necessary per the curriculum.
Collaborates with campus in reconciling official NCLEX results to trackers and performs deep dive analysis of students who were unsuccessful on the NCLEX examination.
Collaborates with the campus Nursing Administration in the analysis of the NCSBN Mountain Measures report and developing improvement plans.
Plans In-services and Professional Development related to test taking, test writing, NCLEX preparation and success, etc.
Maintains contact with pre- and post-grad students through NCLEX testing to encourage and guide students including continued use of ATI products through successful testing status.
Collaborates with students before graduation to provide a data-driven NCLEX-RN study guide to promote NCLEX-RN Academic readiness and prompt licensure testing.
Continues frequent contact and documentation in internal dashboard with students’ post-graduation to encourage and guide students through NCLEX testing to encourage and guide students including continued use of ATI products through successful testing status.
Collaborates with campus Nursing Administration on NCLEX Tracking through students, instructors, and the state board of nursing website.
Leads Licensure department initiatives in collaboration with the Senior NSS, ensuring that all students are provided and following the Power of Six licensure model to ensure NCLEX readiness for prompt, first-time success on licensure exam.
Verbal or written communication pathways in place to ensure effective communication and reporting for high risk, disengaged students to licensure department, Sr. NSS and WFD Directors.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
