If so, we need you to help to build, develop, and manage mission engineers for the M1 mission. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying NSS resource needs (people, tools, areas, support services) and working with stakeholders to address these needs across multiple space divisions.
You will be responsible for:
Lead a team analyzing a dynamic classified mission with the M1 Advanced Program team of approximately 6 individuals across the country
Ability to capture core concepts and instructional needs from a large amount of technical data (ground and space hardware) and communicate technical concepts to an audience of non-subject matter experts with varying levels of domain experience
Be self-directed and able to envision the end state of the product and take initiative to drive product development to closure
Educate leads, customers, and engineers on mission capability, analysis, and CONOPS
Understand a mission of heterogenous satellites with maturing automation for commanding &
telemetry and mission planning
Develop analysis products that aligns with agile software development and delivery
Maintain weekly engagements with the mission community on the status of the training program and own responses to customer actions
Leads space mission system element design, capability assessment, mission threads, interfaces, verification/validation planning, and mission integration functions during system development
Leads demonstration and delivery of mission effects during operations, and provides long term sustainment and mission augmentation support over the life of the mission.
Performs system-of-system trades, modeling, simulation and analysis to assess space mission architecture alternatives for delivering a Customer mission effect, data or capability as it fits within a broader campaign
Performs analysis-of-alternatives and synthesizes mission elements to lead to a cohesive space mission solution. Space mission architecture trades may include orbits, launch vehicles, space vehicles, payloads, ground segment, mission planning, Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), Design Reference Missions (DRM), system security and external interfaces
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in a Technical Field with 14 years’ experience or equivalent experience with Master’s Degree or PhD in a Technical Field
Must have U.S. Citizenship with active or current TS/SCI Clearance
Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and practices
Experience with developing and presenting briefing slides to senior leaders and executive level personnel
Ability to work as part of a distributed multi-disciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in M1 mission design, satellite ground software, distributed modeling &
simulation
Abilityto architect with MBSE and tie analysis products to model behavior
Understanding of system of system architecture designs the interplay between various national security customers and products
Experience in scripting languages and modeling tools (e.G. Python, STOL, VBA, STK, etc)

Salary Range:
$183,100 - $274,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline;
however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
