Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Revenue Cycle and Denials Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, as well as experience in managing denials and appeals. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the revenue cycle process and ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement for all services rendered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire revenue cycle process, including coding, billing, and collections
- Monitor and analyze all aspects of the revenue cycle to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce denials
- Manage the denials and appeals process, including tracking and resolving denied claims
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurance companiesto ensure timely and accurate payment
- Train and educate staff on proper coding and billing practices to minimize errors and denials
- Stay up-to-date on industry changes and regulations related to medical billing and coding
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with coding and billing guidelines
- Prepare and present reports on revenue cycle performance to upper management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical billing and coding, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of medical coding systems, such as CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS
- Experience with managing denials and appeals, including knowledge of insurance company policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends to improve revenue cycle performance
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification preferred
