Key Responsibilities:
Represent healthcare providers and medical institutions in medical malpractice litigation.
Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Develop case strategies and manage all aspects of the litigation process.
Engage in pre-trial preparation, including depositions, witness interviews, and negotiations.
Advocate for clients in court, presenting evidence and arguing motions.
Collaborate with medical experts, clients, and other legal professionals to build strong defense cases.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and precedents relevant to medical malpractice.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in GA.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical malpractice defense.
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and client confidentiality
Work Environment:
Hybrid work model:
a combination of in-office presence and remote work (a few days each week in the office).
Standard work hours:
approximately 9 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to choose your specific hours.
