JOB SUMMARY:
Seasoned Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will perform various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the medical practice.
Responsibilities:
Greet and room patients, take vital signs, and record patient information.
Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Administer medications and manage prescriptions as per physician orders.
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care.
Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine dipsticks and rapid strep tests.
Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of examination rooms and medical equipment.
Manage patient flow and appointment scheduling.
Handle medical records, including charting and documentation.
Provide patient education and follow-up instructions.
Assist with insurance verification and billing.
Maintain inventory of medical supplies and order as needed.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
Current certification as a Medical Assistant.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Detail-oriented and strong attention to accuracy.
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
