Mechanical Engineer (Dod Experience)

General Summary - We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in DoD projects to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for a variety of defense projects. You will collaborate with a team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals to ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems for DoD projects
- Create mechanical design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze data to determine project requirements
- Collaborate with a team of engineers and technicians to review designs and resolve technical issues
- Perform calculations and simulations to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of mechanical systems
- Stay informed about the latest advancements and technologies in mechanical engineering
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project schedules
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably with DoD projects
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards
- Proficiency in mechanical design software and tools
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
