Responsibilities:
Develop operations for forming, fabricating, machining, and processing products based on part drawings, specifications, and other engineering materials.
Forecast time requirements for assigned developments and prepare necessary engineering support documentation according to established procedures.
Implement and oversee process improvements to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure updates to part and process drawings, specifications, and other engineering materials.
Plan and sequence operations to produce parts in accordance with part drawings.
Design tools, models, and fixtures required for part manufacturing.
Improve current processes to enhance manufacturability, quality, and cost structure.
Communicate effectively with all parties involved in improvement projects.
Analyze operations for automation opportunities and help implement automation solutions.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical degree with equivalent experience.
Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks 3D modeling software.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Practical problem-solving skills.
Proven skill in Root Cause Analysis.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations including stamping presses, cold form heading, material flow, and tooling.
Familiarity with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with PPAP and statistical analysis tools.
Previous experience with deep impact extrusion.
Previous CNC/Machining experience.
Previous experience with Automation/PLC systems.
Experience working with copper.
