Material Handler

You are a Material Handler (6 months w/possibility of extension)

This position pays:
$19hr

Shift:
Monday-Friday 7am-3:
30pm, plus OT as needed

Location:
Richmond, CA

Nelson Connects is seeking Material Handler's in the Richmond, CA area. This position will include a variety of warehousing tasks and operational functions. Picking orders accurately, packing shipment neatly, working in cold room environments. Supporting all areas of operations as directed.

What you will be doing:

Loads and unloads trucks and other distribution channel storage and transportation containers.
Prepares goods for shipment for both domestic and international.
Verifies goods received against documentation.
Performs initial quality check on incoming product.
Stages materials and packages.
Operates motorized and non-motorized equipment to move materials, parts, supplies and equipment as instructed.
Performs regular cycle-counts of physical inventory
Processes paperwork and performs SAP transactions daily.
Handles and processes dangerous goods and hazmat materials.
Follow written and oral instructions.
Ensures work area is neat, clean and in order.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Adheres to quality and safety standards.
What You Bring:

HS diploma or equivalent
1+yrs warehouse experience
Forklift operation experience desired
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions.
Basic computer skills in applicable programs,
Previous RF scanning device experience
Self-motivated to get the job done right the first time.
Experience and ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks or applicable equipment utilized in the workplace.
Basic problem-solving skills, Good communication skills.
Ability to prioritize work While being flexible and adaptable
Ability to lift 50 lb. items.
Steel toe shoes required.
