Essential duties and responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Ensure curriculum being taught reflects current standards within the industry as well as in alignment with the standards set forth by the Education Resource team.
Prepare for class including presentation and teaching of curriculum.
Ensure safe and sanitary practices are being upheld by both students and educators when practicing or demonstrating in classroom and clinic floor.
Maintain academic records and ensure continuous evaluations are given to students on an ongoing basis, such as student performance in theory, practical and clinical experiences.
Assist each student, according to that student’s learning process, with understanding and successful application of technical and theoretical information.
Coach and mentor students on attendance, personal development, professional development, program retention, business goals and other personal and/or educational challenges
Maintain guest satisfaction;
handle and resolve guest complaints and ensure guest servicing is consistent with educational standards.
Provide and promote a positive learning environment for the student body.
Meet or exceed required education classes for licensure.
Regularly improve teaching skills through continued growth.
Uphold Douglas J and Aveda Mission and Values through actions and behaviors.
Attend scheduled team and Institute meetings as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
