Manufacturing Electrician

Summary

Per Sé has two exciting full-time opportunities for a Manufacturing Electrician with our steel manufacturing client in Chicago. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment in a high paced production stamping environment. Your ability to perform PLC troubleshooting will be paramount.

ResponsibilitiesMakes advanced repairs and adjustments to electrical devices as well as basic mechanical repairs as necessary.Performs advanced preventative maintenance on all machinery as assigned.Successfully troubleshoots mechanical and electrical problems.Accountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately.Maintains a clean and safe work area.Initiates and installs improvement projects.Performs basic failure root cause investigation.Modifies PLC and HMI programming.

Preferred Skills and Experience5+ years Electrical Maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing settingAdvanced knowledge of electrical systems.Advanced knowledge of AC/DC motor drives, PLC and SLC controllers and motor control circuitsShould be capable of reading electrical prints.Experience hooking up to PLC and reading logicAbility to perform electrical tests, read results and diagnose and repair electrical problemsUnderstand and apply blueprints and technical diagramsExperience with mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatic equipmentMetal and/or Combustion experience is a plus
