Kickr Design is looking for an exceptionally talented, driven and detail oriented maker to join our team. The ideal candidate has a passion for helping realize new products in a manufacturing and prototyping environment, is capable of juggling multiple projects at one time while maintaining excellent organization and can demonstrate an ability to quickly and creatively solve problems. The position also requires an individual that owns his/her projects, works well in teams and interacts with clients. You will be working closely with our Engineers, Customers and Vendors to make sure that all prototypes and production activities are on-schedule and run as smoothly as possible.
The ideal candidate will be excited to contribute to a positive motivating work environment while helping to support the team and continue to grow our very strong design and engineering team.
This role will focus on helping grow and run our manufacturing process and run all of our manufacturing jobs including sourcing vendors/parts/materials, managing vendors, timelines, delivery and in house assembly. In depth knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal forming, CNC, lathe etc.) is key to this role along with the ability to advise the engineering team on design directions that promote efficient and effective prototyping/manufacturing. This role is focused on the manufacturing side of the business but also will help contribute to and build physical prototypes.

Requirements
4+ years of experience with in-depth understanding of manufacturing and prototyping processes, techniques and costing components
Experience in Production and Sourcing roles
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and a strong sense of self-motivation
Strong work ethic and passion for creating high-quality product
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines and budget goals
Ability to manage tasks and deadlines when facing ambiguous information and circumstances
Strong problem solving skills

Hands-on experience with at least one major manufacturing process (injection molding, sheet metal forming, CNC, lathe etc.)
Hands-on experience with prototyping processes such as CNC, 3D printing, metalworking, and woodworking
High school diploma or GED combined with applicable experience
3+ years setting up, operating and perform machining on vertical mills and lathes, and other shop equipment
Ability to read metrology devices such as micrometers and calipers
SolidWorks experience a plus
Responsibilities include
Contributes to continual improvement and optimization of our quoting, and production processes
Establish &
develop positive relationships with toolmakers, contract manufacturers, and other vendors
Regular communication with vendors on sample and production builds
Domestic and overseas vendor sourcing, locating vendors suitable for unique manufacturing processes and parts
Ensures suppliers meet our quality &
delivery expectations
Maintain production cost tracking reports
wiring experience
Participate in bill of material creation
Quoting tooling, prototypes, and production
Provide management manufacturing cost estimates
Review engineering specifications and understand how they translate into supplier capability requirements
Partner with the engineering team and contributes to Design Reviews
Document and communicate progress with team members, customers and vendors
Participate in prototype builds from design completion to finished prototypes
Manipulate CAD to prepare it for 3D printing, including changes to improve the parts manufacturability
Use prototype methods to create molds and cast parts in silicone and urethane resins
Operate and maintain shop equipment
Assemble prototypes including finishing processes such as painting and sanding
Maintain a safe, organized and clean shop
Manage Shipping and Receiving functions
Properly set-up equipment using appropriate speeds and feeds
Order and maintain shop supplies
Maintain shop equipment by following preventative maintenance schedules
