Job Description
Engages with Hotel and Local guests to help drive business in all revenue centers in the hotel.
Works with the Director of Guest Services and Front Office Manager to meet the daily needs of the operation.
Assists with Developing, implementing and monitoring schedules for all Porters.
Oversees the arrival and departure processes, including meeting and greeting, for guests to maintain the flow of service. The Mansion Host must have an understanding of Opera, and be able to perform a check-in and check-out.
Daily comfort check-ins with Notable Guests.
Assists all team members in achieving desired standards of service and cleanliness. Promote service excellence and our culture of ENRICH values.
Stays on top of industry news and trends, and is responsible for recognizing the important industry and media figures.
Maintains the integrity of heartfelt service by proactively communicating with Managers to address any potential negative experiences
Regularly reviews and evaluates the degree of customer satisfaction.
Continuously evaluates the performance and encourages improvement of the Porters. Plans and administers a training and development program within the department.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
Assist with opening or closing shifts as business needs require.
Participate in daily supervisory coverage requiring constant monitoring throughout the hotel and trouble shooting problems.
Operate word processing and spreadsheet programs in a google environment.
Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Must be able to park vehicles with both standard and automatic transmissions.
Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in order to provide clear and meaningful instructions, guidance and counselling to all team members.
Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for a ten-plus hour shift.
Visual ability to observe employees in the workplace, analyze operations and detect situations of concern with regard to areas such as employee performance, grooming, training, policy adherence and morale.
Ability to think logically and make decisions.
Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
