Job Description
The Acceptance Solutions Payer Interface team is looking for a software engineering leader for the Kernel in the Cloud platform. You will drive team engagement and productivity, and champion quality and security in the project. You will build relationship with other organizations including Product, Architecture and Operations to ensuring delivery and quality goals are met. Candidates for this role will be a well-rounded technology leader who have good understanding on the current trends and practices in broad technology and software engineering space.
The role is a self-organized technology leader with in-depth understanding of organizational management principles, software development life cycles, and software engineering practices. Your strong management skills, relationship building ability, leadership in software engineering practices, and strong desire to collaborate with others are all required to make this role successful.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities
Inspire, lead and manage a team of world class software engineers who are creating innovative solution that will transform how consumers pay.
Lead the team in using generative AI to develop new solutions.
Collaborate with Software Engineering, Operations and Product Management to develop tools and processes to accelerate high quality software development.
Evangelize developer productivity practices, solutions and systems across teams and drive for adoption.
Drive organizational changes targeting in improving quality, efficiency and productivity.
Drive resolutions for production issues collaborating with operations support and application support teams.
Be ready to play an active Scrum Master role for the team
Lead meetings and discussions with Product and Architecture teams
Be passionate about generative AI technologies and understand how to align with Visa's strategy
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
