Job Description
As a Protective Services Driver, you will play a vital role in providing safe and secure transportation for Executive Security (ES) protectees who require executive protection. You will ensure the safety and security of protectees during transportation, covering home-to-work transit and secure travel to various meetings and events. This position reports to the Senior Director, Head of Executive and Event Services and is based out of McDonald’s Headquarters in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate defensive driving skills to navigate high-risk situations and potential threats while keeping control of the vehicle. Anticipate and react to hazards on the road, including aggressive drivers and adverse weather conditions.
Proficiency in tactical driving techniques to evade potential threats or escape from dangerous situations effectively. Execute maneuvers such as evasive turns and emergency braking while prioritizing the safety and security of clients.
Conduct route planning and reconnaissance to identify security risks, traffic patterns, and alternate routes before each journey. Assess road conditions and traffic congestion to optimize travel routes and minimize security vulnerabilities.
Ensure the mechanical reliability and operational readiness of the vehicle at all times. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks to address any issues that may compromise safety or performance.
Adhere to strict security protocols to mitigate the risk of unauthorized access or incidents during transit. Implement security measures such as vehicle sweeps and communication protocols to maintain situational awareness.
Apply emergency response procedures and first aid techniques to address medical emergencies or security incidents during transit. Coordinate with emergency responders and initiate timely assistance if needed.
Adhere to confidentiality protocols and maintain a professional demeanor to uphold the integrity of the ES program.
Communicate clearly with ES team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination during transit. Use communication devices to relay information, receive instructions, and adapt plans accordingly.
