The Migraine Marketing Manager (MM) is a key member of the migraine marketing team and has both in-house and field responsibilities. The MM serves as the key contact for External Experts (EE), gathers business insights to support brand strategy and tactical development to drive brand performance, uncover collaboration opportunities to improve care and treatment, coordinate customer engagement activities across migraine marketing teams, external field teams, and medical stakeholders. The MM will build AbbVie’s migraine market leadership through increasing brand awareness, quality insights, and B2B collaborations to improve migraine care and treatment.
The MM will act as the face of the AbbVie Marketing team to develop and implement a coordinated customized strategy per assigned EE across all migraine brand and field facing teams. Working in an internal and external team-based environment, the MM will ensure the migraine customer engagement strategy is aligned to brand and portfolio business goals by driving and coordinating the implementation of innovative tactics.
Key Responsibilities:
External Expert Engagement and Development
Strengthen commercial relationships with External Experts, emerging leaders, and relevant patient and professional associations.
Pull through tailored engagement partnership with External Experts to improve patient care and migraine treatment within institution/practice.
Ensure consistent tactical execution throughout the year to drive key marketing engagement.
Must be able to manage effective written and oral communications with External Experts and be able to confidently represent AbbVie’s interests with key stakeholders.
Demonstrate in-depth understanding of external and internal drivers within key customer accounts to pull through marketing initiatives.
Supports development and tactical action plans;
execute upon tactical plan in a timely and effective manner.
Leads the planning, coordination, and execution of conventions, ad boards, speaker programs, meetings, and medical education projects across marketing, access, and medical stakeholders within assigned budget.
Understand objectives and key business insights for advisory meetings, identify and recruit appropriate HCP targets for participation, attend and/or assist in ad board facilitation.
Provide training on HCP led peer to peer slide deck content and updates and uncover area speaker programming opportunities based on local market dynamics, provide guidance on speaker selection and content to align speaker to audience.
Marketing Initiatives
Lead projects compliantly and effectively through the promotional review process to deliver high-quality work in a timely fashion (meets deadlines). Ensures that regulatory guidelines and AbbVie processes are followed.
Requires the ability to synthesize in-depth insights based on brand key business questions that will provide input to marketing brand teams, resource optimization, and tactic development to drive brand performance.
Responsible for understanding market drivers, competitive landscape, and provider dynamics.
Effectively track and manage the marketing budget. Consistently manage multiple projects to deliver high-quality work products in a timely fashion.
Coordinate the work of multiple external vendors and internal departments including Agency Partners, Marketing, Market Research, Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Corporate Compliance, Consumer Marketing, and IT
Scope and Key Skills
Strong communication (verbal and non-verbal) skills.
Understanding of marketing and sales organizations collaboration to drive brand performance.
Maintains a working knowledge of industry information sources (MD/Channel level data, audits/secondary and primary research). Uses appropriate data sources to evaluate effectiveness of promotional tactics and develop business strategy.
Strong collaboration and team orientation, with experience accomplishing results by influencing without authority.
Self-development with the latest clinical data, brand strategy and tactics, competitive landscape, and ability to develop standard tools.

Strong digital mindset, capabilities, and confidence towards omnichannel usage
Ensure regulatory guidelines are followed.
Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products (e.G. CFR 210/211, cGMP) specifically, significant health care experience. Understanding of attributes of other functional areas and impact of relevant decisions
