We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Manager I/II to support our efforts in establishing Data Quality and Metadata management across US Therapeutic Operations. In this critical role within our Data Governance team, you will work closely with functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support the data stewards with the capabilities and processes that enhance metadata and data quality. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing a comprehensive data governance strategy and framework across all data domains within the organization. As the Data Governance Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, data integrity and data security.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborates with business data stewards in various data domains to ensure:
Metadata is input into the enterprise data catalog, manage metadata, and to establish end to end data lineage processes.
Offers expertise and support to data operations teams as needed, serving as a subject matter expert in data stewardship.
Provides guidance and training to business data stewards, empowering them to implement the data governance framework in their respective data domains and drive improvements in data quality.
Assesses and monitors data governance metrics, analyzing trends and taking proactive steps to address issues and prevent future problems.
Partners with IT and business teams to ensure adherence to best practices and compliance with data standards.
Establishes communities of practice for data stewards across USTO data domains, with the aim of improving data quality and creating a comprehensive metadata catalog.
