Job Description
AP16 is one of AbbVie’s critical manufacturing sites and a packaging center of excellence that packages nearly all of AbbVie’s key products, including Skyrizi, Ubrelvy, Rinvoq, Venetoclax, and Humira. AP16 Finance is responsible for the financial control, reporting, and analysis of the AP16 Manufacturing Operation. The team provides financial support to manufacturing operations as well as Quality Assurance, Maintenance and Engineering, Materials Management, and BTS support functions.
The Cost Accounting Manager oversees financial accounting, financial reporting, cost allocation, collection of data and preparation of reports that maintain AbbVie’s cost accounting systems for businesses supported. The Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining a control environment complaint with internal control policies/procedures to assure accurate financial reporting and responsible commitment of asset/expense resources. The Cost Accounting Managers is a leader in both the Finance Organization as well as the AP16 Site Operations and is expected to foster an inclusive and welcoming working environment for all colleagues.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Provides guidance and analysis for the various forecasting and reporting cycles (month-end actual reporting, LBE forecasting, LRP and Plan development) ensuring accurate financial results/forecasts for all stakeholders.
Oversees and provides guidance for the annual standards setting process including summarizing impact of cost change and presenting results to AP16, Americas Region and Operations Finance senior leaders.
Leads New Product Introduction (NPI) and market extension cost estimation and development process, including presenting to AP16 leadership.
Partners with AP16 leadership providing financial impact of business decisions, operational reviews and identifying opportunities for cost improvement.
Leads and supports business case development for capital investments, sourcing alternatives, third party manufacturing arrangements. Presents findings and recommendations to AP16 and Americas Region senior leadership.
Direct management and development of up to 3 staff members with indirect management of other team members.
Supports and provides guidance for all plant audits, both internal and external.
Supports standard and ad-hoc requests from AbbVie Finance outside of AP16 (i.E. Corporate Tax, Deferred Margin Team, Operations Accounting HQ, etc.)
