Job Description
The Manager, Commercial Finance Customer Programs will support financial management and reports to the Director, Commercial Finance Builder &
Distributor. The Manager, Commercial Finance Customer Programs, is an integral part of supporting three different channels within MasterBrand – Dealer, Distributor and Builder. This position will collaborate closely with the sales team and their respective senior members of management to analyze customer programs, execute payouts, and report the impact on the appropriate financial statements.
YOUR ROLE:
Accrues, monitors, reports, and forecasts monthly customer program and promotional spend.
Calculates rebate payments when contract periods end and facilitates payout with appropriate teams
Partners closely with sales team to manage all customer rebates within designated channels
Analyzes profitability of programs and makes recommendations to leadership
Provides required reporting to customers for rebate details
Prepares select monthly journal entries and account reconciliations related to customer programming.
Analyzes key performance metrics.
Develops and maintains close working relationships with key members of sales
Assists in annual budgeting responsibilities.
Provides inputs to customer profitability reporting
Participates in continuous improvement initiatives of internal processes and procedures in all areas of responsibility.
Ensures financial integrity by following established procedures and company internal controls that are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), MasterBrand policies, Code of Conduct, and other applicable guidelines.
Demonstrates teamwork by responsively collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Finance management and staff, sharing information and ideas, proactively seeking, and accepting constructive feedback.
Consistently demonstrates the MasterBrand Way, positioning the company for growth and helping identify opportunities to reduce waste, complexity, and improve our work environment.
Participates in company efforts related to ethics and compliance activities.
Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field.
Certified Public Accountant (or Chartered Accountant equivalent), Certified Management Accountant, and/or Master of Business Administration is a plus.
Minimum of 8 years of financial analysis and management with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 6 years with a Master’s Degree;
or 3 years with a PhD
Understand of and experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and/or International financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Sarbanes Oxley, cost accounting and accounting acumen.
Demonstrated ability to efficiently engage with internal and external groups and across multiple departments or functions. Strong organization skills with the ability to Ability to manage multiple priorities in an efficient and effective manner.
Ability to critically assess and simplify processes and controls, and challenge business drivers and risks. Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures
Positive with a customer-focus attitude and approach. Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions.
Excellent analytical, communication (oral and written), organization, and interpersonal skills required. Ability to take complex subject matter and package in a story-board format that is clear and simple.
Optimizes work processes;
creates efficient workflow and seeks ways to improve processes.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel) and the ability to extract data.
Previous experience with Power BI is ap lus.
Previous experience with Lead 80/20 principles is a plus.
Ability to travel 10% to 15% annually (domestic &
international).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for 90% of the time and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. This includes typing, clicking, and writing. Frequently positions self to maintain information in drawers and shelving. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information. Ability to read documents, emails, and computer screens, as well as see details on printed materials and presentations. Consistently works in an indoor setting. While traveling, the individual in this position is participating in meetings with finance and sales business partners.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a remote position with the ideal candidate capable of working efficiently and independently from their home office to fulfill assigned tasks and meet deadlines. As a remote employee the candidate will need internet connectivity capable of supporting virtual communication tools that allow for collaboration with team members, attendance of meetings, and participation in company activities. The ideal candidate will be required to set up and maintain a suitable home office environment conducive to productivity. This includes having a dedicated workspace with a comfortable chair, desk, and adequate lighting. The candidate is expected to travel 10% to 15% of their time to go on plant tours, attend conferences, and meet with business partners. This travel will require overnight stays and may be multiple days in duration.
