We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team!
Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (WBHH) provides psychiatric stabilization diagnosis treatments for Children, Adolescents and Adult populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Our goal is to ensure patients and their loved ones feel comfortable and are well informed regarding treatment options.
Job Overview
The ideal candidate will help perform facility preventative maintenance and repairs. The Maintenance Worker will play a crucial role of ensuring that operations is running smoothing by resolving day to day maintenance requests.
Job Type:
Full-Time Hourly
Work Shift:
Days with on-call availability on the weekends.
Essential Duties:
Schedule and complete preventative maintenance.
Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Must be able to work independently as well as within a team
Assists with repairing and replacing showers, drains, fixtures etc.As assigned.
Light Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Sheet Rock and Painting
Repairs and maintain HVAC equipment.

Assists with repairing and replacing showers, drains, fixtures etc. as assigned.
General exterior grounds maintenance:
pick-up, sweeping, light landscaping, shoveling and salting(during winter months).
Makes regular inspection of the grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures and major equipment, as directed and reports any unusual circumstances.
Should be familiar with location of power, water and gas turnoff valves, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers and fire hydrants on the property.
Ensures that all work areas are tidy and void of any debris
Communicates with Director of Plant Operations and/or members of leadership regarding any supplies necessary to complete requests.
Follows company procedures regarding safety and emergencies. Complies with facility safety, infection control.
Participates in drills, maintenance and response to alarms and EOC maintenance related codes.
Requirements
Education and/or Licensure:
High School degree (or equivalent) preferred.
Graduate of a vocational school or completion of an apprentice training program preferred.
Experience :
2-3 years experience working in a behavioral health hospital setting preferred.
Must have 3 or more years experience working as a hands on maintenance worker.
