Maintenance Technician

Job Description
This position maintains and repairs operating equipment for asoybean crushing and biodiesel plant. Primary function is to ensure that the machinery and equipment in the plantremain in good working order to optimize plant productivity and efficiencies. Responsible for complying with allapplicable Company standards and government regulations. Maintenance responsibilities include project andoutage work. This position may also be responsible for activities related to Pipefitting and Millwright/Fabrication.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Maintains and repairs operating equipment, including removal, installation, rebuilding, lubricationand cleaning of all equipment associated with the production process
Welds, torches, cuts, fabricates, and pipe threading
Maintains utility equipment, diesel fire pumps, locomotives, rail tracks, and other associatedequipment
Performs basic instrument replacement and basic electrical work
Learns plant process and procedures for plant start-up, shut-down and operations for betterunderstanding of how equipment is utilized
Ensures orderly shift change by communicating with outgoing operations staff with respect tomaintenance problems or other ongoing issues and/or tasks
