job description

Arrives to work on time, as scheduled, and follows the company attendance policy.
Troubleshoots, repairs, installs and performs maintenance on all plant and facility equipment
Inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical control systems wiring
Performs preventative maintenance on all production and facility equipment/machine.
Uses hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments to work on electrical panels, motors, pneumatic/hydraulic components, conveyors, and manufacturing equipment.
Constructs and fabricates parts using hand tools and specifications
Supports pre-planned work in sister facilities as needed - Rochester and Syracuse
Responds promptly to all maintenance task requests through email system
Updates and maintains preventative maintenance logs on a computer
Maintains shop and housekeeping supply inventory
Maintains cleanliness and repair of outside grounds
Other maintenance or production related projects and assignments, as needed, which may include snow and production waste removal duties
Observes safety and security procedures
This is a contract position for one month.
Requirements
Associates Degree (AA) in a technical field, or one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency working in a computer supported environment with Microsoft office programs
Valid NYS Driver License and ability to drive a motor vehicle.
Demonstrated experience working safely with power tools and equipment such as saws and drills.
Demonstrated ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair electric, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, operating manuals/ instructions, and electrical schematics.
Basic math skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequent standing, walking, grasping, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
Occasional sitting and climbing/balancing
Clear close and distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to identify and distinguish color variations
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
