The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing maintenance, waste management, and housekeeping support for buildings and infrastructure on the StoneAge campus. This individual will be part of the Facilities/Operations team, ensuring continuous service to all departments on campus.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, proactiveness, and strong communication skills with subcontractors, local government officials, planning personnel, customers, and StoneAge departments. They must work effectively both independently and as part of a team, maintaining a high level of customer service. This part-time position (20-25 hours/week) pays $20/hr and reports to the Facility and Safety Manager.
Requirements
Coordinate with the Facilities Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain facility infrastructure.
Perform general building maintenance, including HVAC services.
Conduct water filter replacements and assist with snow removal and lawn maintenance.
Execute preventative maintenance tasks, such as changing air filters and replacing light bulbs.
Support maintenance services for Hydro-Blast pumps and equipment, including remodeling and painting projects.
Assist in office equipment relocation and maintain storage of office and event equipment.
Organize facility supplies inventory and perform custodial duties as needed.
Restock supplies and support maintenance services for Machine Shop Equipment.
Assist in company events setup and custodian services.
Develop and maintain relationships with StoneAge employees.
Willingness to perform other assigned duties.
Knowledge and Training Requirements
Knowledge of OSHA housekeeping practices and basic facilities maintenance skills.
Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
Familiarity with snow removal equipment and maintenance.
Aptitude for basic equipment repair and willingness to obtain necessary certifications.
Proficiency in using small hand tools and computer skills.
Awareness of bloodborne pathogen safety and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Other Information
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.) using proper techniques.
Must work in adverse weather conditions and follow all safety protocols.
Effective communication of progress and equipment needs.
