Job Description
Summary of Position
A Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairing production equipment as required, while working with the other members of the team to complete electrical and mechanical projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain production equipment to maximize operating performance and assist with maintaining electrical spare parts’ inventory levels
Performrepairsonequipmenttorestorethemtoproperandsafeworkconditions
Perform installation, set up, modification and relocation of equipment to accommodate orimproveproductionrequirements
Read/writeelectricalandelectronicschematics/diagrams,basichydraulicandpneumaticdiagrams.
Testelectricalandelectronicequipmentandcomponentsforcontinuity,current,voltageandresistance
Ensure the production schedule is not jeopardized due to machine breakdown, or unsafeoperatingconditionsandinformMaintenanceManageraboutchangesinelectriccircuitsandupdateoriginal diagrams.
AlwaysfollowLOCKOUT/ TAG OUT procedureonunsafemachines/machinesbeingserviced.
Adhere to work orders, preventive/predictive maintenance systems by filling in required formsandorganizeworkplacetocomply withhousekeepingrequirements.
Performpreventative/predictivemaintenancetoallproductionequipmentasrequired.
CompleteelectricalandmechanicalprojectsbasedondirectiongivenfromMaintenanceSupervisorasrequiredbygovernmentregulation.
Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures, andregulationsatalltimes.
Initiate and complete all other jobs, projects and special assignments as directed byMaintenanceSupervisor
Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend measures toimprovehealthandsafety.
Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contactors, relays, timers, types of switches, PLCs, light curtains, motorcontrolsandvalves.
