Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Description
Under direct supervision, performs basic repairs on machinery, electrical, or mechanical or a combination of equipment. May also perform various routine procedures in the maintenance and repair of the facility. This includes but is not limited to:
building, grounds, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs entry to mid-level reactive and planned maintenance as directed.
Performs basic mechanical and electrical repairs to equipment by some of all of the following duties:
dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections, adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments as to sustain and improve operations, repairs or replaces defective parts, reconditions or repairs machine tools.
Maintains the grounds and building exterior by performing any one of the following technical disciplines:
routine electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs.
Provides support and backup for other members of department as needed by leadership.
Assures compliance with housekeeping standards.
Performs more advanced functions as a part of training and development.
May set up and operate equipment being used to make and repair parts. Examples would be a lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools.
May perform simple welding.
Regular attendance is required.
Other duties as assigned.
