About the Role:
We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for equipment installations, relocations and repairs and keeping the building and machinery within the plant in good and safe working order.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting and repairing all numerically controlled (NC) machining and production equipment as well as conventional machines for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic problems
Installation of new equipment and relocation of existing equipment
Contact and schedule outside contractors, as needed and approved by supervisor, to assist with or perform repairs
Perform building electrical installations including component installation (i.E., safety switches and controllers), conduit runs, and wire pulls
Perform basic plumbing repairs (water, air and drain lines)
Demonstrate the ability to perform building related repair and construction work, including plumbing, wiring, equipment installation and repair, HVAC, carpentry, masonry and sheet metal repair, steel structure repair, installation, and mechanical erection
Operate forklifts, man lifts, overhead cranes, clamping devices, presses and porta power equipment
Make preventive maintenance checks and inspections of equipment, as assigned by supervisor, and take appropriate corrective actions
Perform these and similar and related duties, as assigned by supervisor, in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
Associate degree or equivalent related technical course in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and relevant on-the-job experience
Minimum 5 years industrial maintenance experience in a shop environment
Able to read and understand electrical/electronic schematics, mechanical drawings
Demonstrate ability to use technical skills and experience to engineer a solution to an equipment problem as a temporary or permanent repair
Requires the use of basic shop math, including decimals and fractions and able to use simple charts, tables and formulas as required
Demonstrate a working knowledge of electronic control systems, the national electrical code (NEC) and various OSHA standards
Available for emergency call-in and overtime as needed
