who excel in various roles. We're looking for a Maintenance Manager who can lead and actively contribute to the growth of our US plant and local supply chain capabilities. If you're a hands-on leader ready to make a significant impact, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
· Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all safety and environmental standards are met, execute maintenance repairs in line with safety procedures (e.G., lockout tag out), and ensure staff are properly trained and certified.
· OSHA Compliance:
Adhere to OSHA Safety and Health rules.
· Employee Relations:
Foster strong employee relations through coaching, development, problem resolution, and making employment decisions.
· Preventative Maintenance:
Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Total Preventative Maintenance process for our Texas plant and equipment.
· Goal Management:
Develop and manage long-term goals and daily activities for the Maintenance Department.
· Machinery and Infrastructure:
Direct long-term initiatives related to machinery, tooling, and plant infrastructure.
· Technical Projects:
Manage technical projects like new equipment installation and energy conservation.
· Contract Management:
Oversee maintenance sub-contracts for chillers, overhead cranes, air compressors, alarm systems, etc., ensuring safe practices and procedures are followed.
· Production Collaboration:
Work closely with the Production Manager to maximize machine run time.
· Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment.
· Downtime Tracking:
Track machine downtime for preventative and reactive maintenance.
· Policy Adherence:
Maintain adherence to company policies and Unimacts’ Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost principles.
· Team Leadership:
Lead the Maintenance Team in a lean operations environment, promoting cross-functional teamwork and contribution.
Requirements and Skills:
· Leadership and Problem-Solving:
Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, organizational and planning abilities, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Technical Knowledge:
Thorough knowledge of plant and equipment electrical and mechanical operating principles and control systems.
· Safety Expertise:
Strong safety and environmental knowledge.
· Maintenance Programs:
Proven expertise in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) programs.
· Contract Negotiation:
Strong experience executing cost-effective corporate contracts and negotiations.
· Emergency Handling:
Ability to handle multiple priorities and react quickly to emergency situations.
· Technical Proficiency:
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Quality Management software.
· Communication:
Excellent communication skills, bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
· Urgency and Drive:
Sense of urgency and drive to respond to problems and minimize manufacturing disruptions.
Requirements
· Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or related work experience.
· Management Experience:
Five years of plant/general management experience in a manufacturing durable setting.
· Maintenance Management:
Seven to ten years of maintenance management experience with a solid track record of predictive/preventative maintenance in industrial manufacturing facility.
· Managerial Role:
Five years of experience in a managerial role.
· Industry Experience:
Steel Tube mill experience and experience in the Steel Industry preferred.
· Financial Knowledge:
Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
· Technical Skills:
Proven experience in drill and machining operations, PLC programming preferred.
· Lean Manufacturing:
Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement preferred.
· Certifications:
Six Sigma certification and experience with quality control systems (e.G., ISO9001) are a plus.
