Job Description:
As a crucial member of the Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for enhancing process reliability, product quality, and overall plant performance. The Maintenance Controls Technician will primarily focus on instrumentation and control tasks, ensuring the efficient operation of various systems within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Consult technical documentation such as schematics, manuals, and codes to troubleshoot and maintain control systems and instrumentation.
Manage SCADA devices in an industrial environment.
Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain control, measurement, and indicating instrumentation, including pneumatic, analog, and digital systems.
Configure and program Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC).
Organize and procure PLC control components for maintaining plant process control systems.
Collaborate with corporate IT staff on network and computer-related activities.
Prepare technical reports documenting equipment issues and changes.
Lead projects for implementing equipment changes and improvements.
Provide on-call support for production needs.
Install and terminate electrical, pneumatic, and fluid connections.
Inspect, test, diagnose, and repair faulty instruments and systems.
Calibrate components and systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Assist in plant design, modification, and hazard analysis.
Maintain computer-based control systems and perform scheduled maintenance programs.
Stay updated with industry technology advancements and trade developments.
