Nurse must be able to demonstrate competency in all procedures within scope of practice, as appropriate to the ages of the patients served;
must be able to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs.

Monitors the hospital experience from the perspective of the individual patient and functions as a patient advocate.
Effectively communicates with patients, families and members of the nursing team in accordance with standards of practice.
Treats the patient and their family with respect and dignity while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.)
Assures that all tasks performed are in compliance with related state and federal guidelines, rules and regulations.
Answers patient call bell system in a prompt manner and speaks in a quiet, calm, courteous voice.
Documents in patient record appropriately.
Reviews patient care plans daily and charts accordingly.
Provide Interventions as plan of care deems necessary.
Actively participates in continuous quality improvement activities.
Abides by Yoakum Community Hospital policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
Performance of other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an accredited school of Vocational Nursing.
Licensed by the Texas Board of Licensed Vocational Nurse Examiners.
