Logistics Center Driver

Job Description
Position Overview:

The Logistics Center Driver is responsible to distribute products promptly to our customers. They represent our company in a professional manner aimed at increasing customer satisfaction. When they are not delivering product locally, they will assist in the Logistics center performing a variety of shipping, receiving, inventory, logistics and general warehouse tasks;
while providing a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Deliver and pick up a wide variety of computer technology related items to different address’ locally.
Follow route and time schedule.
Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate company delivery vehicle (box truck, van) to deliver shipment as requested.
Resolve clients complaints by collaborating with team mates and leadership.
Collect required delivery documents/signatures required.
Complete logs and reports.
Follow regulations and safety standards.
Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance;
determines most economical and efficient shipping method based on customer requirements.
Responsible for selecting appropriate shipping container;
packs items to ensure safe delivery.
Prepares bills of lading;
check items to be shipped/received against work orders to ensure correct quantities, destinations, and shipping locations are correct.
Use scan gun to receive and pick items in the shipping process.
Basic kitting of equipment based on customer requirements.
Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase orders, escalates discrepancies to leadership.
Inspect shipments for damages or defects, records discrepancies or damages and notifies leadership or appropriate internal team of issues for resolution.
Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
May operate dolly, pallet jack, cardboard crusher and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
May assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area and general facility.
Maintain a secure facility at all times including monitoring inbound/outbound materials and personnel.
Complete cycle counts within defined inventory processes and control.
Attends all training and certification classes associated with career path
Other duties as assigned.

The Logistics Center Driver will conduct themselves professionally and expediently, reliably and safely deliver products to our customers. They will consistently follow documented processes to maintain a high degree of quality in work product and customer satisfaction. All assigned work must be completed in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
