THE JOB
Completing all tasks assigned by the Executive Chef.
Producing consistent, high-quality food in a timely manner
Using commercial kitchen equipment to prep food items
Ensure that each station is stocked with the necessary equipment
Working quickly and efficiently to maximize production
Checking food quality at all points of preparation, transportation and delivery on-site
Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen space as required
Ensure sanitary regulations are followed at all times
This is a seasonal role from April 2024 through early November 2024
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have NYC Food Protection Certificate.
Cooking experience required, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook
Familiar with industry’s best practices
Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks at a time
Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work on your feet as well as stationary for at least 12 hours during events.
Must be willing to work long shifts, including overnight shifts.
Must be able to move, pull, carry of lift at least 50 pounds
COMPENSATION
Hourly range for this role is $20-25.
