Position:
Licensed Clinical Team Supervisor (VASH)
Location:
West Los Angeles North Campus
This position reports directly to the West Los Angeles North Campus VASH Program Manager and/or Project Director. The HUD/VASH Supervisor is responsible for the delivery of quality, comprehensive clinically-based services.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage VASH Case Managers and VASH Peer Specialists
- Act as the Mental Health Treatment Coordinator
- Oversee client HUD/VASH screening and intake for approval
- Directly supervise VASH Case Managers for residential programs and other specialized program staff depending on site specifications
- Review and sign clients’ Individual Housing and Employment Plans (IHEP) and Mental Health treatment plans (MHTP)
- Review and approve the Level of Care (LOC) case management stages
- Ensure appropriate supervision of any non-clinical/non-licensed Contractor staff providing related supportive services
- Liaise with on-site treatment providers, and VA SSVF, GPD, and HUD/VASH Liaisons
- Ensure adherence to clinically-based programmatic protocols and assure quality
- Utilize clinical judgment, and collaborate with the VA COR/Liaison and multidisciplinary team
- Monitor Case Manager caseloads
- Ensure that confidential and complete client records are securely maintained
- Monitor the program, tracking systems, metrics, and outcomes for all assigned clients in HUD/VASH
Implement relevant clinically-based Case Management processes
- Act as the point of contact in implementing procedures needed to obtain CARF and/or any other accreditation
- Supervise the treatment curriculum governing client groups or classes
- Perform periodic case file reviews and provide guidance and corrective action to Case Management staff
- Collaborate with organizations' sections and personnel to bring and monitor necessary services onsite for clients
- Facilitate weekly clinical and Case Management meetings, and attend assigned agency clinical meetings and stakeholder meetings as needed
- Conduct quarterly individual supervision with front-line staff
- Coordinate and create a yearly training schedule for all site staff. This includes a monthly training for all staff and individualized training for each position. This schedule should be submitted by June 15 of every year to be adhered to for the next fiscal year
- Provide monthly educational training to all staff on different clinical expertise (this can be included in the yearly training schedule). Function as a Continuing Education Coordinator for the site
- Analyze reporting, and note programmatic trends that inform strategic planning
- Coordinate all discharges before they occur, and sign off for completion
- Perform other duties as required. Must have a valid driver’s license, meet company insurance requirements, complete a provided driver training course and drive company vehicles for work-related activities including client transportation
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy and/or Psychology. LCSW or LMFT licensure required
- Availability to be on call 24 hours for crisis management
- At least two years of experience supervising clinical/case management staff
- Pass a Security/background investigation via National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI) and a Special Agreement Check (SAC) which includes electronic fingerprinting
- Must qualify to complete the credentialing process through the VA’s VetPro system
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer and information systems
- Professional manner and appearance
- Experience working with homeless or similar population
- Ability to take general direction, work independently and within a team
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of clients, staff, and community members
- Knowledge/experience working with veterans preferred
