Lead Web Designer

Element 47 is a growing marketing and web development agency based in Nashville, Tennessee, looking for an experienced, creative website designer.
Our work is fast-paced and consists of a mix of project-based and retainer-based work. This position will be involved in both of those pieces, designing strategy-driven websites and other marketing materials in collaboration with our internal team and clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Envision anddesign creative solutionsthat incorporate client goals, budgets, deadlines, and technical feasibility
Design visually compelling websites, digital ads, email templates, social media graphics, and other assets that match client brand guidelines and aid in reaching their business goals
Implement UX/UI best practices into all website designs
Work with clients to clarify and expand the visual identity of their brand
Bring ideas to each project to raise the quality of our visual deliverables
Participate in strategic discovery sessions and other client meetings/communications as needed
Collaborate with internal team to create design assets efficiently and effectively

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:
Strong design portfolio, with emphasis on fully custom web design
Proficiency with a wide range of design styles
Effective communication of design reasoning (why did you do it that way?) to team and clients
Working as part of a marketing agency
Proficiency with Figma and/or Adobe XD
Any experience with WordPress or web development (HTML5, CSS3, PHP, Adobe apps, etc.) is a major plus

A bachelor’s degree is great, but we’re more concerned about your abilities than a degree.

Our team is a mix of Nashvillians and remote workers. For employees in the Nashville area, we take a hybrid approach of working in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and wherever you'd like the rest of the time.

$500 Personal Growth Stipend:
You’ll receive a $500 stipend each year to use for anything that helps you grow as a human.
4 Weeks of Vacation (this includes the week off between Christmas and New Year’s Day – with the expectation that we must attend to any urgent matters that might require our attention!)

Profit sharing:
Each full-time employee receives an equal share of 5% of profits from the previous month, paid in the subsequent month
Simple IRA:
Eligible for Simple IRA after six months of continuous employment and after the next onboarding window date (January 1 and July 1 of each year). Element 47 will match your contributions dollar-for-dollar up to 3% of your salary.
Health, Vision, and Dental insurance:
Element 47 pays at least $250 of your monthly premium.
Salary Range:
$70,000 - $90,000
