Job Description
Isobar Public Sector is seeking a Research Strategist to manage on-going research projects in support of a large-scale user experience (UX) measurement program.
The Lead Research Strategist will work on all aspects of quantitative research assignments, including project planning and design, questionnaire development, field administration, analysis and report writing, client presentations, and ongoing consulting. The role reports to the Director of Research &
Strategy and will work in a collaborative environment with a small team of project managers, user experience designers and research analysts.
What You’ll Do
Manage and coordinate all aspects of the research process including research design, questionnaire writing, data collection, analysis and interpretation of results, and reporting.
Program surveys (when required) and work with 3rd party for survey programming and data collection.
Write executive summary and recommendations for improving UX, and review with Director and/or cross-functional team.
Coordinate multiple research assignments against an executional roadmap, including managing timelines and ensuring user insights are gained and shared to support the program’s different lines of effort.
Serve as customer advocate by researching and mapping customer needs and use cases throughout a customer journey.
Become a trusted advisor and resource for team and client (e.G., propose best practices, connect research findings to other program lines of effort, etc.).
Synthesizing a range of qualitative and quantitative information to formulate valuable observations, translating insights into client-specific “so what’s” that drive client action and summarized through implications and opportunities.
Who You Are
(required experience/skills)
A US Citizen and possess a Secret Security Clearance (or be eligible to obtain one).
5+ years of experience in market research with substantial experience in using research for measurement or improving customer experiences.
Undergraduate degree in business, economics, math, statistics, psychology, or liberal arts.
Excellent understanding of market research and measurement terms and topics (e.G., CSAT, statistical significance, etc.).
Ability to manage multiple projects and requests simultaneously;
detail-oriented with excellent follow-up, organization, and time management skills.
Highly motivated, self-directed &
possess a driven personality capable of working within tight deadlines.
Demonstrates analytical thinking and how to use quantitative research to improve user experience and business decision-making.
Experience with various qualitative and quantitative research methods, including but not limited to survey creation, user interviews, usability testing, and category and trend research. Proven ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations that solve a client’s needs.
Ability to determine the clear, cohesive “story” in data and present the findings to the client and team.
Good communication, organization, and team interaction skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
(preferred)
Experience in UX measurement and management.
Experience with Qualtrics, Survey monkey or a similar self-service research platform.
Experience building out Voice of Customer (VoC) programs a plus
Familiarity with SPSS or other market research software
