Laboratory Supervisor

Expected Task:
Supervise technical and/or non-technical laboratory personnel and assign areas/shifts
Supervise and/or participate in processes, service levels, and regulatory compliance. Functional areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to technical discipline areas in which department is licensed, specimen collection, specimen processing and specimen referral testing.
Develop monitoring systems for the collection, documentation and reporting of quality assessment and improvement data;
extracts pertinent information from quality assessment and improvement studies, initiates corrective action plans, and re-monitors results
Concurrently monitor resource utilization, including payroll, supplies and expenses, client volume and revenue variation reports, outpatient volume reports, mileage and expense logs;
participates in MOR.
Provides leadership in the coaching, guidance, training, and talent development of staff
Screen, interview and select qualified individuals for open positions within the department.
Requirements
Yrs expas a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician generalistrequired
Prior supervisory experience is beneficial but not required
Education Requirements:
2-Year/Associate Degree in Science or Medical Laboratory Technician isrequired;
4-Year/Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology preferred
Certification/Licensure Requirements:
FL State Supervisor LicenseRequired
Licensure in 3 technical specialtiesRequired
ASCP or AMTrequired
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
Shifts:
Days (40 hrs per wk) – Rotating Weekends
Sal range:
$32.61/hr min - low to mid 40's hr max Based on years of experience
Up To 15% bonus annual bonus, based on performance KPI’s
