Labor And Delivery Manager

As a Labor and Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the labor and delivery unit. You will work closely with a team of nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality and patient-centered care. You will be responsible for managing staffing levels, implementing policies and procedures, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the labor and delivery unit, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established protocols and guidelines
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures
Promote a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff
Oversee the timely and accurate completion of documentation, including patient records and regulatory reports
Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and implement strategies to improve quality and safety
Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of labor and delivery staff
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field;
Master's degree preferred
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of California
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in labor and delivery nursing
Previous management or leadership experience in a labor and delivery unit or similar setting
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of current best practices in labor and delivery care and unit management
Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Strong organizational and time management skills
