Job Description
- Gathering information. Shoot, write and edit newsworthy events including breaking/spot news, general news and feature stories relevant.
- Collaborate with line producers, reporters and anchors to gather elements and assist in the production of news stories and interview segments.
- Collaborate with the Assignment Desk, Producers and Reporters to research news segments and place on appropriate platform.
- Use desktop editing systems to edit video including breaking news.
- Create digital video news products of day-of news stories using a variety of sources for multiplatform distribution – Website, App, Social Media, OTT and linear.
- Generate story ideas, research, and set up the content and interviews
- Support Reporters, Anchors and Photojournalists with content needs.
- Search wires and other partner sources for stories
