Journeyman Electrician – Plant Maintenance

$65.44
Schedule:
12 hour shift (straight days:
7am - 7pm)
The Plant Maintenance Electrician installs, repairs, dismantles, assembles and maintains plant machinery, equipment, structures, and electrical or electronic equipment and component parts.
The Plant Maintenance Electrician will:
Planand performwork usingcomplex blueprints, wiring diagrams, shop handbooks, layouts and other specifications (written or verbal) to determine materials and working procedures needed in the maintenance of plant machinery, equipment and structures.
Weld, braze, scrape, solder, cut, etc. various types of metals necessary for maintenance repairs and fabrication of new components and equipment.
Lubricate,grease, oil, etc.Plant machinery and equipment.
Constructrigging and scaffolding;
moveheavy machinery andequipment.
Performa variety of additional trade functions as needed includingplumbing, masonry, carpentry. and sheet metal work, etc.
The Plant Maintenance Electrician should have:
Thorough knowledge of electrical or electronic principles, wiring specification codes, properties of various materials, principles of operation and application of electrical or electronic equipment such as motors, switches, control boards, generators, circuit breakers, electronic inspection units, etc.
Experience in 480v motors and controls.
Abilityto lift 40 lbson a regular basis.
