Mindex’s Software Development division is the go-to software developer for enterprise organizations looking to engage teams of skilled technical resources to help them plan, navigate, and execute through the full software development lifecycle.
We seek a Java Backend Engineer to join our team.
Essential Functions
Perform research, design, development, and integration activities of software components in multi-tier architectures
Apply innovating principles and techniques of computer science and engineering analysis
Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
Perform design and code peer reviews on software components
Develop software system testing procedures and documentation
Identify, track, and repair defects
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Math) or equivalent and five+ years experience
Middleware/server application development including core Java 9+, Java Persistence API (JPA), Hibernate, REST
Spring Framework and Spring Boot
Understanding of microservices architecture
Understanding of design, implementation, and testing of large software systems
Java development, build, and test tools
Familiarity with code and process management tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Git, Bitbucket, and Jenkins
Database technologies such as PostgreSQL
Agile software development project
Understanding of Reactive Streams is a plus
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Must be US citizen with ability to obtain security clearance

The band range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, education, experience, training, certifications, internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at, or near, the top of the range for their role;
and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The range for this role is $90,000 - $140,000.

Physical Conditions/Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 10 lbs.
