IT Maintenance Technician
Location - Austin, Texas

Responsibilities
Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of TCP/IP protocols, including networking addresses, serial connections, ethernet connections, VLANs and MAC addresses.
Familiarity with connected nodes, including servers, and essential vendor manufacturing tools.
Efficiently troubleshoot unexpected PC server and networking switch issues.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including networking administrators, IT administrators, strategy teams, server administrators, and technical line of business owners, to resolve issues promptly, both during production and non-production hours.
Receive and process technical maintenance requests in JIRA from various technical business requesters.
Understand the scope of requests and associated issues, proactively seek clarification when needed, and schedule IT releases accordingly.
Develop and implement effective processes to complete requests and validate their successful execution post-production. Address and resolve any issues that may arise.
Work with a variety of on-premises custom-proprietary PC applications to facilitate communication, research technical information, and schedule releases on different systems.
Perform physical maintenance tasks within the manufacturing facility.
Provide detailed written updates and documentation of activities.
Requirements
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent;
additional technical certifications or relevant coursework is a plus..
2+ years of experience as a field technician in the electrical or telecom industry
Basic to intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP networking, connected nodes, and Windows for servers.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.
Experience with JIRA or similar issue-tracking tools is preferred.
Ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment, both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work during non-production hours as needed.
Work on-site at a vendor location in Austin.
