Inventory Control Specialist

Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Inventory Control Specialist position is responsible for maintaining inventory levels, facilitate intra-company shipments, establish inventory locations, maintaining relationships with key personnel and Cornerstone Building Brands facilities, and vendors to ensure competitive timely receipt of material.
Work with the Supervisor and/or Plant Manager to establish dedicated locations and labels for all material in the facility
Work with Intracompany Coordinators to move material efficiently, as needed to other facilities
Monitor inventory levels and inventory movement, and place purchase orders to ensure appropriate levels of inventory are maintained in order to meet customer demand
Be a backup to receive material into inventory system
Facilitate the cycle count program. Identify root cause and process improvements for any discrepancies
Review compiled inventory reports and enter inventory adjustments to balance as needed
Present reports and recommendations to management regarding product choices and stocking levels to promote profitability.
