We are seeking our next Instructional Lab Supervisor who will be all-in on our mission and who will plan, organize and direct the operation of the computer labs and classrooms for the Graphic Design, Photography, and Mass Media departments to ensure labs operate efficiently.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Required:
Associate degree in Graphic Design
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Two (2) years of operation experience using Apple computers, Mac OS or Adobe Creative Cloud.
JOB DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer lab computer networks, maintain printers and supplies.
Perform software updates and manage the department Apple server.
Ensure computers are prepared for faculty and classes in the computer labs.
Supervise use of computer by students to ensure proper guidelines are being followed.
Develop instructional materials for the use of lab hardware and software.
Partner with IT to resolve computer and software issues.
Provide tutoring for Graphic Design, Photography, and Mass Media students.
Track equipment and supply inventories for Creative Arts.
Support faculty and students with hardware and software questions.
Respond to email, phone calls, and provide general lab information for internal/external customers.
Assist with marketing and recruiting efforts for Visual Arts including Success 360, Springboard, Ignite, and new student orientation.
Assist faculty with installation and removal of gallery shows.
Tutor students in graphic design, mass media and photography.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &
ABILITIES
Knowledge of Apple desktop computers and Mac OS.
Knowledge of 2D and 3D animation application.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with enhanced skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, Acrobat, After Effects, Lightroom, Adobe Media Encoder, Adobe XD, and Blender for 2D and 3D.

Salary:
, Pay grade 7 (salary is determined by Human Resources based on education, work experience and internal comparisons).
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to travel between offices and buildings, and requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or maneuver office supplies as needed.
Working Conditions:
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays, and varying events if necessary.)
Work Environment:
This position operates in a professional office environment, routinely uses standard office equipment (i.E. computers, phones, copy and fax machines, filing cabinets) and is in a high traffic area with continual interruptions. Software commonly used includes Microsoft Office, Colleague, and various other educational applications. Work may also be performed outside of the office and with little to no supervision.
