What You’ll Do
As an Instructional Coach at Veritas Prep you will coach and develop teachers in grades 9-11, ensuring they have the support they need to grow and strengthen their teaching practice and provide excellent instruction for all students. You’ll be an instructional leader, providing input around yearly goals and influencing a strong and joyful student and adult culture.
Specifically, you will:

Regularly observe and coach teachers around classroom management, key school-wide routines and procedures, content knowledge, and instructional delivery, tailoring coaching plans to teacher’s needs. Coaching assignments are in response to school goals and student and teacher observation data.
Lead coaching and development of Associate Teachers
Support the Dean of Curriculum and Instruction around noticing key teacher trends and data and using the data regularly to influence coaching and PD.
Integrate the teaching of social emotional program skills into both formal and informal teaching moments with students and model this for teachers.
Foster strong relationships with and among team members, providing clear, consistent communication, expectations, and support, as well as opportunities for team collaboration and problem solving.

Requirements
What You’ll Need (Qualifications)

Belief in and ability to hold a high bar and high expectations for student achievement
Three to five years of teaching experience in a core subject (Math, Science, ELA, or History)
Strong knowledge of literacy best practices and experience embedding literacy skills across the curriculum
Previous experience coaching educators and implementing curriculum
Ability to coach teachers across subject areas
Fluency in Spanish (preferred)
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
Strong background in STEM (preferred)
SEI endorsement within one year of employment
Current authorization to work in the United States – a candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment
