The home office for this position will be Germantown, MD, but the position can be fully remote or hybrid at any AECOM office.
The Implementation Specialist - Project Management Information System (PMIS)will support our growing portfolio of projects delivering critical technology solutions to our large capital improvement program clients. Solutions may include commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software, custom AECOM-built applications, or a combination of both. Supported systems include eBuilder, Kahua, InEight and other leading vendors. Implementation Specialists will also assist with the development of functional requirements for custom applications that will be built by our in-house software development teams. Projects vary in complexity and constraints, providing an environment for career progression.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with dynamic stakeholder teams to define and document as-is business processes, critical performance metrics, and program/project control requirements
Evaluate the systems and tools currently supporting program/project delivery and define requirements for enhancements
Use critical thinking, data analytics, and business analysis techniques to examine existing business processes and to make recommendations for improvement
Translate documented requirements into system configurations, software business process workflows and reporting metrics (workflows, data dictionaries, use cases, reports, dashboards etc)
Participate in the discovery, design, testing, implementation, training and rollout phases of software implementation
Configure software to meet documented requirements
Serve as a client representative when interacting with software vendors
Develop supporting documentation (user guides, job aids, training materials, test cases, user acceptance test plans, etc)
