Job Description
Interacts with both senior management and external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations. Submits articles for internal or external publication. Acts as a trusted advisor. Balances bottom line objectives of a project with long-term interest of customer. Is identified as a Subject Matter Expert in the discipline. Participates in internal teams to develop and align procedures and standards. May influence validation strategy.
Responsible for compliance with applicable policies and procedures. Ensures quality and effectiveness of key results of major projects within function through sound design, early risk assessments, and implementation of fallback strategies. Has full awareness of the potential consequences (defects and failure modes) of design changes to established processes. Mitigates risk within functions through sound design, early risk assessments and implementation of fallback strategies.
Reviewing the design of Mechanical systems and provide guidance to comply with theAbbVieStandards and Specifications.
Generate and/or update standards in the area of Mechanical Systems forAbbVie Global Engineering Assurance
Stay current with the latest regulatory guidance and industry best practice in the area of practice such as but not limited to HVAC/Refrigeration/Containment/Chillers/Compressed Gasses/Steam.
Able to support projects through all phases of execution including front end planning efforts and direct the development of detailed process description narratives, process flow diagrams, and P&
IDs in these mechanical systems.
Ability to direct and advise on the lay-out of these mechanical systems in manufacturing sites.
Ability to review equipment providers and making recommendations and selections based on project requirements.
Attending and/or coordinating factory acceptance tests and/or site acceptance tests for equipment.
