ROLE SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Generalist, with the support of the Director of HR is responsible for maintaining an up to date Human Resource Management System (HRIS), benefit management, employee relations, training, employment, and benefits. Additionally, they are expected to participate in developing departmental goals, objectives, and systems while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains employee changes by processing all requests within the HRIS and file system.
Creates and compiles various reports from database as requested.
Drives employees’ understanding of benefit programs by regularly generating communications and supporting employees as situations arise.
Acts as liaison with various insurance carriers and fosters effective relationships with client representatives.
Keeps management advised of potential problem areas;
recommends/implements solutions as appropriate.
Oversees leave of absence management, including employee and vendor support.
Creates and maintains all employee FMLA, PFL, disability and Worker’s Comp case files within assigned programs.
Creates and presents trainings for related to Human Resources related topics, including New Staff Orientation.
Tracks completion of performance evaluations within assigned programs and coaches managers on process.

HOURLY RATE:
$62,400-$68,400 Salary (Exempt)
This position is benefit eligible and has generous time off.
Requirements
Must meet one of the below requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or applicable field plus 3 years’ experience
-OR-
Associate’s degree plus six years’ experience
-OR-
Ten years human resource experience in lieu of degree.
3+ years of experience using a Human Resource Management System (HRIS) is required;
UKG Pro and Workforce Management preferred.
Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations
Experience in the administration of benefits/compensation programs and other Human Resources programs
Extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
Must be able to display a high level of discretion and understand the sensitive nature of confidential employee information with superior emotional intelligence.
Must be able to travel to various program sites, as needed.
