We are seeking a motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As an HR Generalist at InnerPlant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall human resources function of the company. You will handle a wide range of HR duties, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy administration.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day HR administration including payroll, benefits, HRIS-management, and organization.
Guide hiring managers and provide assistance on end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures.
Administer and track employee performance reviews, including goal setting and feedback.
Handle employee relations matters and investigations, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Ideally with experience in California.
Demonstrated experience in recruitment and onboarding processes.
Experience with employee relations and performance management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Knowledgeable and proficient with TriNet or other PEO providers is a plus.
Previous experience with quickly-growing startup companies based in California is a huge plus.
Previous experience with scientific, biotechnology, and/or agriculture organizations is a plus.
HR certification (e.G., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.

Benefits
The US base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $120,000 + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
